My 2008 resolution was to stop biting my nails.

In other words, I never keep my resolutions.

Keep a nail file with you all the time so you can file your nails down which leaves you with nothing to bite.

Farewell to All That: An Oral History of the Bush White House [Vanity Fair]
The threat of 9/11 ignored. The threat of Iraq hyped and manipulated. Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib. Hurricane Katrina. The shredding of civil liberties. The rise of Iran. Global warming. Economic disaster. How did one two-term presidency go so wrong? A sweeping draft of history—distilled from scores of interviews—offers fresh insight into the roles of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and other key players.
Well worth the read.

To the Tumblr users who love Chipotle:

inothernews:

Chipotle is owned by McDonald’s?

We’ve been had.

saintnate:firstsight:

I highly recommend you all jump into your private jets/hovercrafts/electric scooters and make a trip to Lincoln, Nebraska where you can have Oso! Oso is 1,000,000 times better than Chipotle for numerous reasons:

  • Fresher ingredients
  • It’s not owned by McDonald’s
  • They don’t make the main component of your burrito nasty soggy rice like Chipotle does
  • Their guacamole. For real. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Unlike Chipotle’s it has flavor
  • They serve beer too
  • Nice vegetarian selection
  • Interesting  and unique selection for those who are uninterested in the regular meat, beans, and whatever burrito deal. Example: one of their burritos has cabbage, curry, garlic and your choice of meat.

Now, granted I am biased. I am a vegetarian and I never feel like Chipotle has that much to offer me. I’ve eaten there in Lincoln and out of Lincoln and I have never liked it, but that’s just my opinion.

If any of you are ever in Lincoln, seriously call me. I will buy you a burrito from Oso.

Who am I to pass up a burrito held in such high regard?

McDonalds does not own Chipotle any longer. They were merely an early investor: http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=194775&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=916004&highlight

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure Marge would be way hotter than this in real life…right? And Maggie just looks scary.

Good lord that is frightening. I agree Marge should be hotter—in a few scenes when her hair is down/wet she is a vaguely attractive cartoon character.

I’ve definitely sat in the same seat Whitney Port was sitting in when she was at Café Noir.
